Attitude Vs Problem

IF you keep saying that things are going to be bad, you have a chance of being a prophet.

Story start……….
Cheryl continually complained that she didn’t make enough money, couldn’t afford the things she wanted, and therefore, wasn’t ever going to amount to anything. A counselor said to her, “You’re throwing your energy away complaining instead of using it to get ahead.”
“But you don’t understand. The job maybe a problem, not me,” Cheryl countered.
The counselor said,: Your low paying job may be a problem and your boss may demand too much, but if you are continually that upset, you are causing yourself more harm than either the job or the boss.”
“What can I do?” she asked.
The counselor said, “You can’t control your boss or the job, but you can control how you feel about them. CHANGE your Attitude.”
Cheryl took her advice. When she stopped whining about her life, people around her noticed. She got a promotion, and with her new job status, she was transferred out of the department into a position with even higher pay and a more supportive boss.
Awful is a state of attitude. A change in attitude will change the state of things!

Are you the one who is keeps complaining on the situation happen around you? If you are, change your attitude and your thinking!!
“Change those that cannot be accepted, accepted those cannot be change.”
If we cannot change other people thinking or a situation, you can change your attitude. Then only you can change your situation.
“Do you feel the world is treating you well? If your attitude toward the world is excellent, you will receive excellent results. If you feel so-so about the world, your response from that world will be average. Feel badly about your world and you will seem to have only negative feedback from life.” John Maxwell.
How important is your attitude in your life! Your excellent attitude will receive excellent result!

For those who are not in the service on 27/07/2008, this is the sermon for that day by Pastor Malcolm. I think it is a very good sermon. Its takes about 1 hour and 6 seconds. Please find a time to listen to this for those who are not there on that day. For those who are there, you can listen again. Its a good sermon.

40 days fast & pray.

as all of you would already probably know,
the 40 days fast & pray is held every year at around this time of the year.

and this year, it will start on the 22nd of July which is this Tuesday.
all youth are advised to join in this prayer as it would be
a prayer done among the nation at the same time.

so, hurry and get your copy of the 40 days fast & pray guide book from church
where pointers and prayer points are stated in said book.

daily prayers will be done by your own self or with your family.
there will also be a prayer meeting every Tuesday night at 8.30 pm in church.
the youth will meet up at 8pm every Friday
for a prayer session before we proceed for our weekly cell group discussion.

7Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:

8For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

on the 15th of June 2008,we had our parent's day lunch in conjunction with father's day.
although it was supposedly father's day, but we decided that we also needed to do something for the ever loving and caring mother's besides the wonderful and also loving father's that God has bless us with.

all went well, and thank God for everything and all who came.

the said event was to also raised funds for the china earthquake victims with the sale of tickets that cost RM 15 each. We really want to thank the Lord for the amount that was raised and received through the sales of the tickets as well as the donation box we had.

also many many thanks to the youth who made it possible.

praise Him in his mighty sanctuary.

a little bit about cameron's.

on the 29th till 31st of May,
the youth went up to Cameron's just to spend time with each other
and a time of bonding over the holidays.

we all had a great and wonderful time there despite it being a very short trip.

There were altogether 15 of us who went.
Among us are Uncle Swee Tshung, Aunty Tau Fan, Lai Ming Jie Jie, Joel G, Joshua G,
Sheng Jian, Eu Mun, Chee Kent, Rachel, Evelyn, Vivian, Zhen Bi, Elisa, Sherina & Ying Yi.
